Julia + Steve were married at the gorgeous Silvertip Resort in Canmore, AB. With perfect weather and the towering mountains as their backdrop, their day could not be any more beautiful. Except, it was! These two looked absolutely amazing in their wedding attire, and Julia’s wedding gown fit her like a glove. She truly was the image of pure elegance on her special day. The details they chose went perfectly with their elegant yet simple theme. What really stood out was their love for one another, how perfectly happy they were, and the joy of loved ones that surrounded them. It was such an amazing day to photograph! Everyone was on their best behavior, until the dancing started, then things went wild. We love when guests dance the night away with the couple, it makes for some great moments and also many good, laughable memories for the couple! Thank you Julia + Steve for the honor of capturing your wedding day. We wish you many happy years together! <3 Ken
After shooting Kari-Ann and Trent’s amazing Edmonton wedding, we had the honor of shooting their afterday session in Banff, AB. Such an adventurous, wonderful couple they are! We spent the afternoon hiking up a mountain, getting to know each other more and sharing lots of good stories, enjoying a fabulous view and the wild wind at the summit, and finishing up beside a quiet lake and watching the storm clouds roll in. We are so blessed to have such beautiful mountains here. We love the images we were able to create with them, such a beautiful couple and beautiful backdrop. The love between these two is just perfect, and we are so grateful to call them our friends! <3 Ken + Laura
Well, we are pretty much in love with Jessica + Keith’s Badlands engagement session! Drumheller is such a gem of a place in Alberta with such a different terrain compared to the rolling farmlands we are used to. It’s really amazing how the landscape suddenly changes as you drive into Drumheller… Laura and I spent quite some time dreaming up how the badlands were formed. We came up with some interesting theories before looking it up online (on Wikipedia, don’t judge!). We loved shooting with these two and creating a romantic set of images that reflects their love so perfectly! Can’t wait to capture their wedding day! <3 Ken +Laura
What a blessing it was to work with Echo + Rui! Such a sweet, adventurous, outgoing pair these two make. From trekking through wildfire extinct woods, to daring the rubble of Jasper’s most beautiful lakes, these two were unstoppable when it came to doing anything and everything for amazing pictures. We absolutely love shooting in the Rocky Mountains, they are basically our escape from this crazy life… Every time we go, it’s like the mountains are all we see and the schedules, meetings, editing just sort of vanish for a few hours Echo and Rui, thank you for spending your day with us, and being one hardcore couple! Here are some of our faves from their session! <3 Ken + Laura
Amanda + Boray flew me out for their engagement session in Connecticut, and what an awesome trip it was! The fall leaves there were popping, the neighborhoods were so crisp and clean, and the temperature was perfect. A nice break from the chilly Edmonton wind . I was pretty impressed with the size of their leaves down there. I loved spending time visiting where they’re from, and getting to know them as a couple. So excited to shoot their wedding this summer and looking forward to working with them again! Cheers Ken
Sexy – sultry – delicious – beautiful… so many adjectives come to mind when I think of these two. We recently shot the engagement session for our beautiful couple Marianne + Joe! It was a warm winter day in Calgary with those wonderful chinooks. Almost like spring, but with snow on the ground. The next scenes we shoot with these two will be dramatically different though. Can’t wait for the big day! Cheers, Ken
Hey y’all! So in addition to Jen + Tim’s amazing wedding, I had the pleasure of shooting a Trash the Dress session with them! We cruised around Mexico finding rooftops, flooded cenotes, and vivid sunsets! We had ourselves a great time, and I must send a shout out to the father of the bride – Austin – for being a stellar assistant that day J+T are such a fantastic duo, and their awesomeness rubs off on everyone they meet! I’m excited to share this set, and am grateful for fearless couples like them! Cheers to a long happy life together you two <3 Kenneth
Recently had the chance to spend some awesome time with two fantastic people and their fun loving family and friends in Cancun Mexico for their wedding at the Azul Sensatori! SO many adventures with these people in the tropics from cenotes to weather and tons of dancing! I really looked back on this wedding with fondness and imagine how heart warming when I got this review from the couple!
When it came to deciding on a photographer for our wedding, there was no question we were going to have Just Married Photography capture our memories. When I first checked out their website 5 years ago when my sister was getting married, I knew I was going to have them for my wedding when the time came. I didn’t even explore other options for photographers because in my mind there was no one else comparable. Their work speaks for itself and I knew I had to have them!
Ken is the epitome of professional, creative, fearless, patient, passionate and above all an awesome person. In our opinion, he is the most talented photographer EVER! His eye for details and innovative photographs are breathtaking and beyond spectacular. Ken was able to see things that we wouldn’t have. Where we saw plain ol’ Tim – Ken must have seen Chris Hemsworth (People magazines current Sexiest Man Alive). We wanted unique photos that would WOW and that is definitely what we got.
Our family and friends have been amazed by our photos and we have received remarkable compliments. We will have these photos forever and for that we are eternally grateful!
Thank you so much Ken for being part of our special day! We really do appreciate it. Choosing you as our photographer was the best decision we have ever made….next to marrying each other of course! You are AMAZEBALLS!
Jen + Tim xo
So awesome when couples send such thoughtful and encouraging reviews! Love these two! <3 Kenneth

We would love to hear your feedback so feel free to post a comment while you’re here Whether you’re looking for a photographer for your wedding, or just like to check out our latest work, we hope you connect with our style. Recently had the chance to jet set with two amazing people to beautiful Mexico for an amazing destination wedding! I feel obligated to say “HOLA!” That’s about as much Spanish as I know. Here’s a sneak peak at some of the scenes of the day! Stay tuned for so much more including some awesome TTD after-day goodness! Kenneth
Well, if you haven’t seen the beautiful wedding day of Chris + Setareh, you should check out Part I, II, and III on the blog! But first, if you’re already checking out this post I would love to share these images with you! This shoot was full-on creative freedom. This wedding couple was up for one intense shoot, and we accomplished some of my most favourite shots of this wedding season! Setareh is a brave, adventurous girl, and what Chris calls “the worst kind of stubborn” . Once she has a plan in her mind, she will carry it to completion no matter what! Chris and his daring bride made their way to the top of a majestic waterfall set in the towering mountains of Glacier National Park. Setareh was ready to get her dress dirty, and was not afraid to do whatever it took to create something incredible. Safety first, of course. We had an amazing time exploring the park and finding some location gems. All I can say, is this shoot takes my breath away! Stay tuned for more of this session to come Kenneth
Aaannnd drumroll please….! The final set of pictures from this absolutely amazing wedding day. The reception for Setareh + Chris was full of good times. The speeches were designed to create laughter in the room, but all the jokes and giggles were with love Everything from the beautiful sunset just outside their tent, to the delicious food, to the crazy dancing at the end made this night unforgettable! It was a true pleasure to spend the day with these two. We feel blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know Setareh + Chris, explore a new part of the USA, and come home with so many memories from this weekend! We wish you both the happiest ever after, and may your home, family, and life flourish with your marriage. Cheers to a new friendship and a new beginning for you! With love, Kenneth
There is just too much work that I want to post for this wedding, so here we go with Part II! This couple is so thoughtful, they rented a boat named “Lady of the Lake” to treat their bridal party – and one of their fortunate photographers – to a lake cruise! There was champagne, good laughs, and some post-ceremony smooches of course ! The bridal party then took a ride in a Montana trolley down to the train yard and all throughout town for some pictures. This group of fantastic people were up for anything! We got caught climbing on train cars, but still managed to capture some attitude and edgy pictures in a location that doesn’t make itself available every day. We also were able to visit a brewery for some cool shots in a spiral staircase and make our attempt at strutting our stuff down the downtown streets of Whitefish without being caught by the police . Don’t worry I’m not always this crazy for pictures… or am I? I love this formals session and all the awesomeness and beauty that came out of it! <3 Kenneth
Setareh + Chris were married on the beautiful lush lawns of The Lodge at Whitefish in the quaint, scenic town of Whitefish, Montana. The morning was crisp and quiet, but there was excitement in the air. Setareh was one of the calmest brides I have ever met getting ready! She truly looked her best that day – Chris is a lucky man! Their ceremony was simple and yet so meaningful. Their words to each other were spoken from the heart and all who witnessed their commitment to one another were so happy for them. Setareh got to spend the day as a celebrity as all the little girls at the resort asked for pictures with the “princess!”. She was a great sport and was happy to make their day. When I look back at these images, I think of how wonderful the first part of their wedding day was and how absolutely sweet they are as a couple. It makes me tear up a little to think of what amazing people we met through our job that day and the friendship that ensued Kenneth
I just have too many favourites from this wedding, I have to post some more! The bride and groom couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day for their wedding. The skies were cloudy and dramatic, the lake was fresh and crisp, and we were even blessed with a gorgeous sunset that warranted sneaking away from the reception with our couple to take some breathtaking pictures of them and nature at it’s finest! I am just bubbling with excitement over the pictures that we created during our time with them in Montana. I hope these pictures remind them of what an amazing, touching day it was for them and their family and how intimate, funny, and perfect it truly was. Keep your eyes open for a big post coming soon of all the pictures that I keep raving about! Kenneth
Setareh + Chris are one of the nicest, most genuine, kind, thoughtful, appreciative, and every other synonym for wonderful, couples I have ever met! Their love of pictures reflects the endless amount of work that we were able to create with them! Their wedding was in Whitefish, Montana where they were married on the grassy slopes of The Lodge at Whitefish. The journey to get there was a windy one, where Laura’s fear of heights was definitely in full force! We were basically driving on the side of a mountain after taking the “scenic” route just after the border. By “scenic” the Americans mean “deathtrap” according to her . I was in awe of the towering mountains around us as we drove up to the higher altitudes. She kept having to tell me to WATCH THE ROAD when my photographer self’s eyes would wander and I would blurt out something like… “OH MY GOODNESS! LET’S TAKE A PICTURE RIGHT HERE!”, and my eyes were definitely not looking at the road ahead… Oops.. I think I gave her a mini heart attack a few times. In the end, we made it to Whitefish safe and sound where I definitely was able to take pictures until my heart was content! These pictures are some of my faves, stay tuned for even more to come! Kenneth
I’m going to keep this short because there’s so much to share for this wedding and a picture is definitely worth more than a thousand words. Jessica + David’s wonder wedding in Minnesota, Still Water was absolutely amazing and one experience I will never forget. This is not my last time shooting in Minnesota that’s for sure. Jessica + David, if you’re ever in Edmonton, hit me up! Maybe for some baby pictures? *wink* Cheers Kenneth
So I get to travel to exotic locations a lot for my job but this destination is definitely one of my favorites! Did I say Minnesota!? You bet! Where? Still water! Where’s that? It’s a small town outside of St. Paul, and to be honest it’s beautiful there! The people are cheery, the place is packed with trees and lakes, and nature, and it reminded me so much of good ol’ Alberta. I’m super excited to share this set of photos with you because I personally love them like cray. Jessica + David I had so much fun shooting with you guys and hanging out. You have to come visit me! Cheers Kenneth
You know you have an awesome couple when your engagement session starts with you laughing like crazy with your couple. Right from the get-go I could tell these two were a fun bunch. I love shooting happy people but these two really took the cake for fun-loving, smiley, and joyful. Love you guys Jen and Tim! Can’t wait to spend more time with you two on your wedding days. Kenneth
Geeta + Trevor had an elegant multi-day wedding at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise! It was indeed true love, for an NYC bride to move all the way to Calgary for her groom!
The gals and guys started the day off first day with getting ready at the hotel. After an exciting first meet, the couple took some pictures with their bridal party around the Fairmont grounds. Later on the lake view terrace was the gorgeous western ceremony, with beautiful blue skies! That Lake Louise backdrop is killer isn’t it? We were treated to elegant decor at the Victoria Ballroom in the hotel, with lots of great speeches by the couple`s closest friends and family, and lots of dancing!
The second day was focused on the East Indian festivities! After some henna, the couple’s families engaged in the turmeric paste ceremonies, lots of great moments to capture for that! After some stunning formals of the couple around the grounds, we head to the East Indian ceremony. The night was filled with dancing, eating and laughing!
