We were so inspired by this destination wedding in Mexico, from the amazing couple Ottlie + Kirt, to their fabulous friends and family, and all the marvelous backdrops we were blessed with! The destination wedding was held at the Playacar Palace in the Riviera Maya, and weather was gorgeous the entire time! Their special day started off with Ottlie and her girls getting their hair done at the salon, followed by getting dressed and makeup at the hotel room. Kirt and the boys were getting prepped as well during the morning.
The beautiful ceremony was held at the hotel’s gazebo overlooking the ocean, with lots of heartfelt moments. The hotel included surprise fireworks too! Afterwards, it was time for the formals with the couple and their rocking bridal party! After some beach shots, lo and behold we located a trampoline and of course, we had to incorporate it! What a fabulous bunch 
The reception decor at the hotel ballroom was stunningly elegant, and everyone had such a fantastic time with tons of laughs, smiles and major dance moves. And we mean major, CRAZY, dance moves! It was a perfect day for sure!
The next day we headed out with the couple for their Trash the Dress session. Ottlie + Kirt had grown up riding horses all their lives and wanted to incorporate them into their pictures! Lots of our favorite images this year came from this session, and truly we were blessed with many amazing locations, including several shots zipping around Cancun. They finished their after-day session off at night by jumping cannon-ball-style into the pool!

Talk about over-the-top gorgeousness! Angela + Rick`s destination wedding in Banff was perfect from start to end. You`ll remember this couple from their stylish engagement session here!
Angela mentioned that she had planned way back years ago that one day, we were going to be her wedding photographers. How sweet is that!! Well that day finally came and what a dream wedding it was! She had everything planned to perfection to the last ounce, and it was a treat to photograph this as design was in the details. The couple chose the Rimrock Resort Hotel in Banff, once of the premier places in Banff to get married.
Their day started out with the gals and guys getting ready in their respective rooms at the hotel. Angela is a total shoe person and she brought several pairs just in case, and finally went with her trusty Christian Louboutins, and they comfortably lasted the entire day (even walking up mountain slopes)! The lovely ceremony on the outdoor terrace of the hotel was beautiful, and we were blessed with hot sunny weather and outrageous skies! Having being trained in classical piano for years, Angela was a huge fan of classical music and she had a string quartet playing her favorites as she was walking down the aisle. There are certainly no shortage of locations in Banff to do formals! We were excited to find some ancient ruins in the mix! At the reception back at the hotel, we had the opportunity to document some ultra luxe decor and capture some sweet moments! One surprise was the lion dance that popped by later during the party! What a fabulous wedding!

Jessica and Kevin’s intimate wedding at the Post Hotel in Lake Louise was elegant, beautiful and breathtaking! We started the day taking photos at the Fairmont Lake Louise, a picturesque setting indeed! It was raining just a little bit, however as it always is in the mountains, you only need to wait a couple minutes and you’re good to go! What we noticed was their undeniable love for each other — SO delicious to capture, it’s HOT! They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and when you see in these pictures how they look at each other, it’s an intense love story! It’s just fantastic when couples give us total creative freedom for their pictures, as we have too many favorites to post! After some stunning shots around Lake Louise, the ceremony and reception followed at the hotel, and it was a very personal and elegant wedding with only the closest of family attending. Gorgeous!

Nassau, Bahamas – one of the most beautiful locations that we’ve shot for a destination wedding! Yes it’s that time folks to reveal Ashley + Marco’s fabulous wedding We’ve been to Nassau before, and just as we remembered, the weather could not be any better! The people are so friendly here, and it’s a place where you just want to stay here forever!
First up – their engagement session at the Queen’s Staircase, 66 steps carved out of limestone in the 17th century. We’ve never seen anything like this before, and it was a magical place!
Ashley + Marco’s ceremony was held at The Cloisters on Paradise Island, the remains of a 14th century French Monastery and one of the most stunning places to have a wedding ceremony in the Bahamas! It was a beautiful heartfelt ceremony.
For the formals we headed to The Versailles Gardens on Paradise Island, a collection purchased from France dating from the 12th century. Absolutely stunning venues!
Their elegant reception was held at the Balmoral Club Mansion, and take a look at the impeccable decor! Our jaws dropped too We did an amazing afterday session with Ashley + Marco in the beautiful sunset light.
The thing that we remember the most about this wedding was the couple – their overflowing love for each other, their love for their guests, and their love for us. They always put everyone’s needs over their own, and made everyone feel incredibly special. This couple was truly beautiful inside and out!! Ashley + Marco, thank you so much for choosing us to be your wedding photographers, it was such a privilege to document your dream wedding!
