We feel like we are best friends with these two at this point! After spending an entire day adventuring around Jasper with them, we did a second shoot in Edmonton for a whole different look and feel. I love the contrast between the two sessions – the first a rustic, hair billowing mountain bride, the next a classy, sexy, sleek bride and Rui looking as dashing as ever in both . Thank you for putting up with us and our crazy ideas, and for being absolutely fabulous you two! <3 Ken + Laura
Felicia + Adam were married in the majestic St. Thomas More Church and had their reception at the Golden Rice Bowl. It was such a pleasure working with this couple and meeting their families. (Not to mention the honor of shooting another physician-pharmacist couple!) Felicia was a stunning bride, and the entire day was beautiful. The day-of planner was the fabulous Renee Chan from GetWed, always such a pleasure to work with her! This gal literally went above and beyond to make our jobs easier with table toasts at the reception! Here are some of my favourites from Felicia + Adam’s special day, enjoy! <3 Ken
Creating art at the Art Gallery! I loved using the building’s architecture to show off my couple with all its twists and turns! Lucy + Steve had a gorgeous wedding, and every part of it seemed to match who they are in every way. There were so many amazing moments to catch, from Hong Kong games, to tea ceremony events, to tears of joy in the ceremony, love and romance all day, and lots of laughs and partying at the reception. An exceptional day for an exceptional couple Here are some highlights from the day, enjoy! <3 Ken (+ Kylie)
I’m excited to share the wedding of Lan + John in all its fullness and feature these two. Such a sweet couple. At the end of the wedding John came up to me and invited me to stay for drinks. I couldn’t do so as I was heading back to Edmonton but John made it clear that to him I was now “family” having spent their day with them. That kind of caring and hospitable character is amazing and deserves to be featured. These two are a beautiful pair and I loved sharing their day with them! <3 Ken
After what was looking like a gloomy, rainy weather report that turned into being a gorgeous, sunny day, I knew there was something special about this wedding! It was as if Tiffany and Paul’s happy, bubbly and positive personalities turned the whole day into something amazing – even the weather. I absolutely love when couples are up for anything when it comes to their wedding pictures. Tiffany and Paul were great to work with in every way! Their wedding day seemed just perfect in every way, and I believe their marriage will be too. Cheers to many happy years together full of laughter, adventure, and love. Kenneth
Derrick + Shirley’s magical wedding affair in Edmonton was held at the Shaw Conference Centre. Surrounded by the love of friends and family, there was plenty of stories, anecdotes, and humor. We spent lots of time with the couple capturing moments and creating fine art portraits. Set in beautiful weather with the willingness of our couple to try and do anything, this was a wedding I will not soon forget. Love, Kenneth
Tiffany + Paul are an exceptionally kind, warm, thoughtful, and sentimental couple. Nothing seems to phase them, and they always look on the bright side! Throughout their entire wedding day I could feel all the love from family, friends, and most of all between them! It was an amazing day to be a part of. Here are a few shots that showcase their wonderful day, stay tuned for more! Kenneth
Rowena + Phoun tied the knot in Edmonton amidst family and friends with two cultural ceremonies at the St. John’s Catholic Parish for the Filippino wedding ceremony and the Laos Ceremony at the Meridian banquet hall. There was no shortage of moments in this wedding from moments of tears to laughs and joy. I loved working with these two all the way back from their engagement session. Then add on their crazy awesome bridal party and you have a recipe for some fun times. Rowena + Phoun thank-you giving me so much freedom and letting loose and having fun with the pictures. I hope you enjoy your day again and again through these memories captured and created. Your friend, Kenneth
I’m really excited to share some of my faves from Rowena + Phoun’s recent wedding in Edmonton. This was such a crazy AWESOME wedding set and day. I usually talk about the couple but this time I want to highlight their wedding party. I love these guys. They were so fun all-round and were there for the couple in every way. For instance, while the couple was doing their first dance, what was the bridal party doing? Dancing at the head table in the back. I’m sure that was impromptu but man isn’t that just awesome? Then there was the groomsmen. These guys were a hoot. We did some great shots but the fun stuff came from them entirely. Butt grabs, you name it. At one point they said to me “Get your camera ready.” and then proceeded to have a “ball sack hitting contest”. lol. Can’t wait to share the rest! Enjoy! Cheers, Kenneth
Funky music, Hip hop dancing, Crazy asian tea ceremonies, Love, Laughter, and so much joy. Adria + Jesse’s wedding was a very different mix of so much culture and excitement. Take for example that they chose to do their ceremony in the Wedgewood room of the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald – but instead of doing it in the traditional fashion they stood in the center of the room with the Justice of the Peace walking around them while surrounded by friends and family and loved ones. Talk about awesomely different! And a great new setting to tie the knot – not to mention the great photography we captured. Then at their reception, they surprised everyone with some sweet Jabberwocky choreographed dancing, and even some Gangnam style dancing! This was a wedding for the record books and I’m so blessed to have been there to document and capture every moment! Adria + Jesse, all the best blessings in your life together, wherever your love takes you in this world.
All my love,

Lynn + Alex’s wedding was really spectacular one, and we could not wait to showcase this, you can imagine our excitement!!
The couple got married at St. Joachim Catholic church, an astounding venue. Everyone always asks us where this place is when they see it, it’s just gorgeous! And then it was time for formals! The forecast said rain, and we were all very glad – it actually provided us with many locations we were dying to shoot in! Later the sun came out, and so we had outdoor locations as well!
The couple really wanted their guests to have fun, and surely it was a blast. From the posh decor at the Oasis Conference centre, to the lion dance introduction, to some surprise robotic dancers , finishing off with mega fireworks and fat franks during midnight lunch, this wedding was OTT awesomeness!

There was so much awesomeness during Christina + John Paul’s wedding, we don’t know where to start! Well let’s start at the beginning with the couple getting ready at the Delta South hotel, with their respective parties. We were really inspired by this cool and artsy couple. They had their first meet at the lobby, we just loved the moment! And then! We had total willingness from the couple and their rockin’ bridal party to do whatever we asked – that included lying down beside traffic in sizzling hot weather, for a fabulous shot! We absolutely love these kinds of weddings, with everyone in sync, totally on board to do the most crazy things! After some more crazy locations, we were about to head to the ceremony when we were bombarded on Whyte Ave by a bunch of hyper high school grads heartily congratulating the couple on their wedding in their fancy grad attire 😀
The couple got married at the beautiful St. Joachim church for their ceremony. It was time for a few more shots with just the couple, and then party time at Delta Edmonton South for their elegant reception. Check out their swanky decor! We loved documenting their speeches, first dance and of course the ever popular money dance!! All the guests were having such a good time dancing the night away, just the way a fantastic wedding should be.
You may remember Belinda + James’ Calgary engagement session a little while back here, and now it was time for their dream wedding. It was fabulous weather in Calgary, as we started the day at Angles Hair Salon for hair and makeup. Lots of great moments captured of the bride as well as the groom, who got ready with the groomsmen earlier. The couple had their ceremony at the elegant Wedding Pavillion, one of our favorite venues in Calgary! It`s just an superbly gorgeous place dedicated to weddings. We headed out to some great locations in Calgary including the Olympic Park and found some never-been-seen locations! Sooo awesome!
The couple booked their reception at the Glencoe Golf and Country Club and we ooohed and aaahed at the lavish decor! Belinda + James had a very popular candy bar, cupcake stand as well as a fabulous cake and also tasty appetizers along with an elegant plated dinner. There were lots of crazy games as well as some superb night shots on the golf course 😀
Props to A Love Story for creating a very cool same-day-edit video for the couple that was shown during the reception!
Kim + Chris were such an awesome couple to work with, it was such an out-of-the-box wedding from the start! Ah, those morning Chinese games, with the groomsmen having to eat soy sauce, wasabi and pay their way to see the bride! It was time for tea for each set of parents, and then the couple rushed off to get wed at Chateau Louis for a beautiful outdoor ceremony!
These formals were anything but! We started off at their fave place – Starbucks, and then headed out to their former high school, Ross Sheppard where they first met! These high school sweethearts wanted their day to be fun and memorable, and we totally captured the essence of their day. The reception was held at Dynasty Restaurant with flowers from FaBLOOMosity, decorations from Danita from A Chair to Remember, and the day was well executed by the talented wedding planner Renee from getwed Event Planning. Check out this awesome wedding, so many great moments!
We’re excited to showcase Vanessa and Jesse’s beautiful banff wedding! This was a destination wedding for the couple as they currently reside in Ottawa. We loved their great smiles and romantic interaction.
Vanessa and Jesse got ready in different rooms at the Delta Banff Hotel. It was a calm and peaceful morning with both parties ready to go. Vanessa chose gorgeous turquoise cheongsams for her bridesmaid dresses and accented with red details. The heartfelt Christian ceremony was held at the Gazebo in Central Park. The closest of friends and family travelled afar to attend. And then it was time for the formals, and we definitely used the natural beauty of Banff, with its rocky cliffs, lush forests and crystal clear waters. Vanessa and Jesse were a fearless couple, as we asked them to climb a mountain for a certain awesome shot. Vanessa, who is used to rock climbing was totally for it and heights did not faze her!!
We arrived back at the hotel for the traditional tea ceremony and the reception shortly afterwards. It was a fantastic night of laughter and dancing.
Vanessa + Jesse, thank you very much for choosing us to be your wedding photographers!
It was a picture-perfect day for Nim + T-H’s ahhhmazing wedding!
Nim and her gals started the day off with room service at the Delta Hotel City Centre! Nim had the most gorgeous dress and heels, and we loved the colors of her bridesmaid’s dresses too. T-H and his guys prepped at the house. The ceremony was held at Robertson Wesley United Church, always a marvelous place to get married in, with its spectacular balcony views 🙂
We had the best weather ever with deep blue skies and hot hot sun, one of our faves! And what a gorgeous bridal party, you can tell they were totally into it! Nim + T-H are very photogenic, don’t you just love their smiles! So Stunning!
The reception was held at the Shaw Conference Centre, with over 600 guests, and it was a beautiful venue to host as many guests as this! Nim + T-H’s wedding logo included ice cream symbols from their favorite spot, Marble Slab Creamery 🙂 Lots of great speeches, dining and desserts (you’ve got to check this out), entertainment and dancing throughout the night made their special day complete!
Lavish settings, the Art gallery, sweet alleyways and one couple and bridal party willing to do absolutely anything we wanted for their pictures. Sweet. 🙂 We recently had the chance to spend a really wonderful afternoon-evening shooting the pre-wedding photos for Mary + Dave our daring and smokin’ couple. Mary + Dave are choosing to do something different – getting married in February they decided to get their wedding photos done in advance of their big day! Cool idea! Time is always the biggest element that we have to work with on the wedding day. Imagine how pleasant it is now that we have oodles of time to work with. 😉
