We were so inspired by this destination wedding in Mexico, from the amazing couple Ottlie + Kirt, to their fabulous friends and family, and all the marvelous backdrops we were blessed with! The destination wedding was held at the Playacar Palace in the Riviera Maya, and weather was gorgeous the entire time! Their special day started off with Ottlie and her girls getting their hair done at the salon, followed by getting dressed and makeup at the hotel room. Kirt and the boys were getting prepped as well during the morning.
The beautiful ceremony was held at the hotel’s gazebo overlooking the ocean, with lots of heartfelt moments. The hotel included surprise fireworks too! Afterwards, it was time for the formals with the couple and their rocking bridal party! After some beach shots, lo and behold we located a trampoline and of course, we had to incorporate it! What a fabulous bunch 
The reception decor at the hotel ballroom was stunningly elegant, and everyone had such a fantastic time with tons of laughs, smiles and major dance moves. And we mean major, CRAZY, dance moves! It was a perfect day for sure!
The next day we headed out with the couple for their Trash the Dress session. Ottlie + Kirt had grown up riding horses all their lives and wanted to incorporate them into their pictures! Lots of our favorite images this year came from this session, and truly we were blessed with many amazing locations, including several shots zipping around Cancun. They finished their after-day session off at night by jumping cannon-ball-style into the pool!

Ottlie + Kirt, it was an absolute honor to document your fabulous wedding with you and your family and friends. We loved every minute, from the moment we met you, to capturing your special day, and finally creating dramatic images that will last a lifetime. We wish you all the very best!

Hello everyone! Here’s a fabulous wedding we wanted to share with you all, of Shelly + Trevor! We had so many great shots from this wedding and some of our favorites of the year!! We started the day off with the gals at Electric Lemon salon, while Trevor and his posse got ready back at the house. The couple was married at the epic Robertson Wesley United Church, one gorgeous venue to get married in. We headed out to several locations nearby for the formals and finished off at the Hotel Macdonald Empire Ballroom for their beautiful reception! We had the pleasure of working with Katherine Lomax again from Elegant Touches, who beautifully planned the wedding and did the excellent decor! We had the opportunity to do some amazing night shots of the couple, something that we love to do as they usually turn out to be very unique images. Be sure to check out this splendid wedding!

We couldn’t get enough of this couple’s smiles – Adriana + Kelly are such a joy to photograph! Adriana + her gals started with hair at Ricci Hair Co. downtown and makeup was done by James Kershaw. The ceremony was held at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, a beautiful location with stunning architecture. Onto the bridal party formals, the couple took us to a never-before-seen bridge and natural park area that recently developed! We headed to other fabulous locations all over town and captured some amazing images! Adriana is a fantastic Ukrainian dancer, part of a dance troupe who have traveled all over the world for their spectacular Ukrainian dancing, and knowing this we had to incorporate her skills into our images Their reception was held at the Edmonton Petroleum Club, and the wedding was beautifully planned by the lovely Rebecca Fisher-Swarbrooke of High Culture: Weddings & Special Events Inc. Check out that cake from the Art of Cake! The reception included a gravity-defying show of Ukrainian dancing! We`re certain you`ll enjoy the images below, but first, a couple of images from their awesome e-session!

We’re so very excited to announce that we have been ranked First among the Top 10 Wedding Photographers in Canada by the Professional Wedding Photographers of Canada (PWPC)! We were chosen as the Winners of the Winter 2012 Wedding Photography contest, with First Place winnings in Getting Ready category, First Place in the Ceremony category, and First Place in the Reflections category! Along with those top placement winnings, we placed 2nd in the Humor category, 3rd in the Bridal Party Category, 4th in the Kids Will Be Kids category, 6th in the Creative Lighting category and 10th in the Details category.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone! We hope you all have had a great 2011 as much as we have! We still have several more weddings to share from the year, and here’s a spectacular one from Nada + Nader’s wedding! This Arabic wedding was full of dancing, laughter and lots of beautiful people all around. The morning was spent documenting several ceremonies between the parents’ houses with many, many friends and family in attendance and hours of dancing After some fabulous formals around town, the reception was held at the Shaw Conference Centre Hall D with over 700 guests, quite a large wedding. Nada had envisioned her wedding as a royal wedding theme, with red carpets, British Red Guards, and amazing royal decor. Nada was the loveliest Princess, and Nader her Prince Charming! The couple also planned to set up fireworks for their grand entrance, and for their cutting of the cake The night was filled with great speeches, and LOTS of crazy dancing! We’ve also added a few shots from their engagement! Isn’t this couple SO photogenic? Wow!
Nada + Nader, we had such a blast working with you, we loved your energy and your beautiful smiles! We wish you the best in everything you do!

We were really excited to post Jana + Kevin`s wedding in Calgary, we loved working with this fantastic couple! And we had a very difficult time narrowing down our favorites because there were sooo many!
Jana and her girls started the day with hair and makeup at Pure Form Salon, while Kevin and the guys got ready at the house. The couple was married at the Knox United Church and its grandiose architecture made for some epic shots! Afterwards we hopped all around downtown Calgary for some fabulous formals! It was really cold but the brave couple and their entourage rocked it! Shots at Stephen Avenue, Mewata Armory, parkades and downtown meridians made for some ultra swank images. Some passerbys said “…really can’t see what you see in that place. Are you sure you want to take pictures there??” …. um… yes! 
The reception was at the Olympic Park ATCO Centre where the guests had a great time with lots of laughs, smiles, and danced the night away. Here are some of our faves from this wedding!

We were more than stoked for Amanda + David’s wedding, as they were looking for wedding photos that were anything but ordinary and truly creative! What resulted were some very exciting images that we couldn’t wait to show!
Amanda and the girls started the day off at Blue Gemini salon in Terwilligar, and later headed to the Union Bank Inn to get dressed while David his guys got ready at the house.
Since their ceremony was later in the day, the couple had had their first meet at King Noodle House in Chinatown and a sip of tea together We had a blast doing formals around the area and inside a chinese supermarket What a gorgeous couple and bridal party, loved loved loved their energy! We then headed towards the Alberta Art Gallery for their beautiful ceremony, and the reception followed shortly after. It was a rockin reception, and the guests pulled a flash mob surprise on the couple and everyone got up to dance in sync! We had some pretty sweet images from this wedding for sure!
Amanda + David, thank you so much for choosing us to be your engagement and wedding photographers! We loved your zest for the different and we wish you the best!
