Recently had the chance to spend some awesome time with two fantastic people and their fun loving family and friends in Cancun Mexico for their wedding at the Azul Sensatori! SO many adventures with these people in the tropics from cenotes to weather and tons of dancing! I really looked back on this wedding with fondness and imagine how heart warming when I got this review from the couple!
When it came to deciding on a photographer for our wedding, there was no question we were going to have Just Married Photography capture our memories. When I first checked out their website 5 years ago when my sister was getting married, I knew I was going to have them for my wedding when the time came. I didn’t even explore other options for photographers because in my mind there was no one else comparable. Their work speaks for itself and I knew I had to have them!
Ken is the epitome of professional, creative, fearless, patient, passionate and above all an awesome person. In our opinion, he is the most talented photographer EVER! His eye for details and innovative photographs are breathtaking and beyond spectacular. Ken was able to see things that we wouldn’t have. Where we saw plain ol’ Tim – Ken must have seen Chris Hemsworth (People magazines current Sexiest Man Alive). We wanted unique photos that would WOW and that is definitely what we got.
Our family and friends have been amazed by our photos and we have received remarkable compliments. We will have these photos forever and for that we are eternally grateful!
Thank you so much Ken for being part of our special day! We really do appreciate it. Choosing you as our photographer was the best decision we have ever made….next to marrying each other of course! You are AMAZEBALLS!

So awesome when couples send such thoughtful and encouraging reviews! Love these two! <3 Kenneth

Destiny is a gal that we connected with recently and we had a great time shooting with her! She is energetic, fun, and down to earth. It was a pleasure to get to know her and create some beautiful images for her in the studio. We love the work that came out of it and are excited to share it here on the blog! Check out our January B-session special and drop us a line today! <3 Ken + Laura
Miss K is an absolutely wonderful person that we had the opportunity to work with for a boudoir session! She is both a fitness fanatic and a women’s health advocate, and has a passion for encouraging women to love the skin they’re in and focus on wellness rather than achieving a “perfect” body – the latter which often comes at the expense of their health and enjoyment of all that life has to offer. After years of struggling with disordered eating and body dysmorphia, she worked hard to achieve a body that she is happy with; one that is healthy, beautiful, strong, and perfect in its own unique way. Miss K looks amazing and she is a true inspiration to many women out there to work towards a physique that makes you feel like a superstar – sexy, strong, and ready to take on the world! Thank you Miss K for sharing your story and celebrating being a healthy and beautiful woman both inside and out! Check out our boudoir offer for a limited time only and consider booking a boudoir session with JMP as a gift to yourself (or your love) as we start off a new year! <3 Ken + Laura
Chelynne and Dallas had a beautiful wedding at the Devonian Botanical Gardens, followed by an intimate reception with their close friends and family. They are such an adorable, cheerful couple and reminded us of how wonderful young, true love is between two people! They are high school sweethearts and by the speeches that family shared that evening, we could tell that they have been through a lot together and are still going stronger than ever. We were so happy we could be a part of their day and learn about their love story, which is unique to each and every one of our couples . Cheers, Kenneth
Well, it’s been a few months now and it’s time to post Amy + Joel’s wedding set up here on the blog! Their wedding took place in Edmonton and it was a lovely one to take part in. I hope the sunshine and green leaves brings you some happy summer memories since it’s so cold and wintery out there! Love is something that is worth more than gold, and that is what I hope you all remember this Christmas as you spend it with those you cherish Cheers, Kenneth
The blog set for this fabulous couple is finally here! Tish + Mike had a beautiful, fun-filled 1920s themed wedding in Calgary, AB. These two definitely know how to pull off a classy theme wedding and we really enjoyed getting to know them! One of our favourite parts of their day (although we loved the whole day of course!) was their ceremony in an old theater downtown. It was such a cool, different venue for a ceremony! It also served as a perfect location for some 1920s inspired pictures. Tish + Mike congrats on your special day and we wish you a long, fulfilling, happy life together <3 Kenneth
Here’s the full set of blog images for Chris + Setareh’s trash the dress session! If you haven’t had the chance yet, take a look at Part I, II, and III of their wedding day posted earlier this month! We would love to hear your feedback so feel free to post a comment while you’re here Whether you’re looking for a photographer for your wedding, or just like to check out our latest work, we hope you connect with our style. Photography is truly our passion, and something we cannot live without. I love this set of images and we are so grateful to have the opportunity to create pictures that will last forever that are unique for each and every couple we work with. <3 Kenneth
Vicky and Joe are one fabulous couple! From their engagement session to their wedding, they were outgoing and up for anything when it came to their pictures. We had an amazing time creating art and crafting the light to make images that were as unique as they are. We truly appreciated their awesome attitude and their fun personalities. Congrats on the start of a new journey and may the coming of the winter season remind you of your special day year after year Stay tuned for more to come on the blog! <3 Kenneth
Recently had the chance to jet set with two amazing people to beautiful Mexico for an amazing destination wedding! I feel obligated to say “HOLA!” That’s about as much Spanish as I know. Here’s a sneak peak at some of the scenes of the day! Stay tuned for so much more including some awesome TTD after-day goodness! Kenneth
Well, if you haven’t seen the beautiful wedding day of Chris + Setareh, you should check out Part I, II, and III on the blog! But first, if you’re already checking out this post I would love to share these images with you! This shoot was full-on creative freedom. This wedding couple was up for one intense shoot, and we accomplished some of my most favourite shots of this wedding season! Setareh is a brave, adventurous girl, and what Chris calls “the worst kind of stubborn” . Once she has a plan in her mind, she will carry it to completion no matter what! Chris and his daring bride made their way to the top of a majestic waterfall set in the towering mountains of Glacier National Park. Setareh was ready to get her dress dirty, and was not afraid to do whatever it took to create something incredible. Safety first, of course. We had an amazing time exploring the park and finding some location gems. All I can say, is this shoot takes my breath away! Stay tuned for more of this session to come Kenneth
Aaannnd drumroll please….! The final set of pictures from this absolutely amazing wedding day. The reception for Setareh + Chris was full of good times. The speeches were designed to create laughter in the room, but all the jokes and giggles were with love Everything from the beautiful sunset just outside their tent, to the delicious food, to the crazy dancing at the end made this night unforgettable! It was a true pleasure to spend the day with these two. We feel blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know Setareh + Chris, explore a new part of the USA, and come home with so many memories from this weekend! We wish you both the happiest ever after, and may your home, family, and life flourish with your marriage. Cheers to a new friendship and a new beginning for you! With love, Kenneth
There is just too much work that I want to post for this wedding, so here we go with Part II! This couple is so thoughtful, they rented a boat named “Lady of the Lake” to treat their bridal party – and one of their fortunate photographers – to a lake cruise! There was champagne, good laughs, and some post-ceremony smooches of course ! The bridal party then took a ride in a Montana trolley down to the train yard and all throughout town for some pictures. This group of fantastic people were up for anything! We got caught climbing on train cars, but still managed to capture some attitude and edgy pictures in a location that doesn’t make itself available every day. We also were able to visit a brewery for some cool shots in a spiral staircase and make our attempt at strutting our stuff down the downtown streets of Whitefish without being caught by the police . Don’t worry I’m not always this crazy for pictures… or am I? I love this formals session and all the awesomeness and beauty that came out of it! <3 Kenneth
Setareh + Chris were married on the beautiful lush lawns of The Lodge at Whitefish in the quaint, scenic town of Whitefish, Montana. The morning was crisp and quiet, but there was excitement in the air. Setareh was one of the calmest brides I have ever met getting ready! She truly looked her best that day – Chris is a lucky man! Their ceremony was simple and yet so meaningful. Their words to each other were spoken from the heart and all who witnessed their commitment to one another were so happy for them. Setareh got to spend the day as a celebrity as all the little girls at the resort asked for pictures with the “princess!”. She was a great sport and was happy to make their day. When I look back at these images, I think of how wonderful the first part of their wedding day was and how absolutely sweet they are as a couple. It makes me tear up a little to think of what amazing people we met through our job that day and the friendship that ensued Kenneth
Nadim + Salina are one fun, energetic, and crazy pair! This wedding was literally a whirlwind of amazing moments to capture and outgoing awesome formals in between! It was a photographer’s dream to be a part of it. Each day was something new to photograph, and we finished with a smile on our faces and chuckling about the funny moments we were able to be a part of. The first day was full of ceremonies that were near and dear to the family’s hearts, but of course they took it to the next level . Usually the bride and groom are decorated with yellow paste by their relatives, but this family ended up pouring all sorts of concoctions all over the groom and his bros – leaving them looking like a heap of flour and soya sauce! Nadim completed the ceremony with grace, with a few eggs and a lobster on his back at the end. I definitely think his coconut shell bra and his goggles added to his eagerness to finish that part of the wedding weekend The next day was another evening of ceremonies and the groomsmen were super into getting a nice photoshoot done. After looking through the pictures there were a few bums in the way of their friend’s smiling faces. Photobomb? Haha. Then, the wedding day came and it was an absolute blast. The groom’s brother seemed to have forgotten his pants, which made for some humorous pictures and jokes through the day! The ceremony was absolutely beautiful, and everyone looked their best. By the time the reception came, we had taken the bridal party through a rigorous photo session, involving throwing Salina in the air and the bridesmaids trying to lift Nadim! There were also quite a few flying cards… At the reception, Nadim lost the “who wears the pants” game, as Salina smashed her pot with her foot faster. I think she had a bit of an advantage with the massive gumboots they replaced her heels with… but maybe Nadim secretly wanted her to win! Happy wife happy life right? I could go on about how awesome this wedding was, but I think I will let the pictures speak for themselves now. Nadim + Salina, congrats on the start of a new path of life and may you fall more in love each day and keep that lively, fun spark that you both have for all the days of your lives! Kenneth
After what was looking like a gloomy, rainy weather report that turned into being a gorgeous, sunny day, I knew there was something special about this wedding! It was as if Tiffany and Paul’s happy, bubbly and positive personalities turned the whole day into something amazing – even the weather. I absolutely love when couples are up for anything when it comes to their wedding pictures. Tiffany and Paul were great to work with in every way! Their wedding day seemed just perfect in every way, and I believe their marriage will be too. Cheers to many happy years together full of laughter, adventure, and love. Kenneth
Christine + Sean are one energetic, fantastic couple and their wedding was nothing less than that – super awesome and jam-packed with action, fun, and laughter… with some romance in between of course . From riding in a horse-drawn carriage down the busy downtown streets of Edmonton, to asking the Canadian Forces to join us for a photo session, to laughing till we cried during the reception speeches and games, their day was a whirlwind of good times in the making! One thing I learned is that horse carriages are not as stable as they look, but I enjoyed the ride and am glad my camera and I made it out unscathed! Congrats Christine + Sean, here’s to many wonderful years together and may your fairytale have the happiest of endings! Cheers Kenneth
Amy + Joel are an awesome couple! They tied the knot in the beautiful Condobolin Gardens downtown Edmonton and celebrated afterwards with their family and friends at the Lux Steakhouse and Bar (I have to say they have REALLY good food there!). The day was full of sunshine, good laughs, and special moments. These two definitely radiated with love for each other, and I think everyone that witnessed their ceremony was touched by the words they spoke and the emotions that came with it. It was truly an amazing day for them. Congrats Amy + Joel! Here are a few shots that I am excited to share, more to come soon! Cheers, Kenneth
I just have too many favourites from this wedding, I have to post some more! The bride and groom couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day for their wedding. The skies were cloudy and dramatic, the lake was fresh and crisp, and we were even blessed with a gorgeous sunset that warranted sneaking away from the reception with our couple to take some breathtaking pictures of them and nature at it’s finest! I am just bubbling with excitement over the pictures that we created during our time with them in Montana. I hope these pictures remind them of what an amazing, touching day it was for them and their family and how intimate, funny, and perfect it truly was. Keep your eyes open for a big post coming soon of all the pictures that I keep raving about! Kenneth
